I finished working on a new acrylic painting 40x50cm on canvas. I started working on it and I gathered some reference pictures from the web, my idea was an integration between an inspirational phrase : Our festival is our return, and an aesthetic experience of a natural scenery of a seascape along with childhood innocence. I selected Diwani scriptand I added some little designs around the writing and on the sand and water… I tried to convey this idea through a teenage sister and a younger brother flying their kites while running against the Mediterranean sea (in Gaza strip). In Gaza flying kites by all age groups is a popular hobby, so I wanted to focus on this event as a celebration of return… below are pictures of my initial steps along with the final piece:
Digital Modifications: I discovered a photo editor software on i phone that I haven’t used before which provided a new interesting variety of editing tools and photo modification opions that weren’t provided by the other softwares that I used before, its Magichour. Below are some modifications done by this software and Fotorus:
